Passenger car production in Russia in June this year was more than 3.5 times what it was in May – up to 13 thousand units, but the year-on-year decline was 89%, RIA Novosti reports citing Rosstat. In June of this year, 13.42 thousand passenger cars were produced, in June last year 123 thousand.
In the six months of this year, 281,000 passenger cars were produced in Russia, in the first half of last year – 736,000 units, the decrease was 61.8%.
Trucks produced 10.3 thousand in June – minus 40% compared to June last year, but 36.5% more than in May this year. For six months, production decreased by 17.7% compared to the previous year and amounted to 70.4 thousand cars.
Buses weighing up to 5 tons were produced 43.1% less year on year in June, up to 1.3 thousand units, but 4 times more than in May this year. A total of 5.3 thousand units were produced.
Internal combustion engine power decreased by 56.4% in June compared to June last year, but production increased by 15.2% compared to May this year.
