Russian car repair shops are facing a shortage of auto parts due to the increase in sales of used cars, Izvestia reported with reference to representatives of car brands and network service stations (STO).
“The biggest shortage is in spare parts for engines, transmissions, electronic systems and body parts. This is due to sanctions that block the supply of spare parts from Europe and the USA, as well as logistical problems that make it difficult to access imported spare parts,” said Alexey Kozhukhov, the official representative of the Oting brand in Russia.
According to Nikita Pankov, technical director of Seven Forces, the problem with engine parts for premium cars has become especially acute. There are no such spare parts in the Russian Federation, but delivery takes a long time, and the parts themselves are very expensive.
Representatives of Motor Place LLC, the official distributor of Japanese cars in Russia, noted a shortage of electronic components on the market.
