Sobyanin: MSD will be paid for public transport and it will be free for Muscovites

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in a statement. telegram channelIt will be free for Muscovites and residents traveling along the Moscow High Speed ​​Diameter (MSD). From 1 January 2023, a toll will apply for public transport.

According to Sobyanin, such measures will reduce public transport traffic and allow residents of Moscow and the region to shorten travel time. Authorities expect the Central Ring Road to continue to be used for transit traffic.

The mayor of the capital stated that the length of the MSD will be 68 km from the north to the south of the city. The highway will be the longest pedestrianized highway in the country.

“90% of the route will pass through the air, dive into tunnels and climb overpasses,” Sobyanin said.

Former Mayor of Moscow said In his blog, he reported that 91 km of roads, including 19 overpasses, bridges, tunnels and 10 off-street pedestrian crossings, are planned to be built in the city this year. This year, authorities plan to complete the construction of the first phase of MSD from the Businovskaya junction to the Kosinskaya overpass.
