Kangaroo Electro announces itself as Russia’s first electric commercial vehicle assembly plant. The production actually exists and is located in the Kaluga region. Here, compact single-seat trucks with a frame-panel construction, an electric motor, a lithium iron phosphate battery and a cargo space of 3 cubic meters are assembled.
Technically, the car belongs to quadricycles, can be driven on public roads, you need category B rights to drive.
The engine develops 5 kW (6.8 hp), the weight according to the data sheet is 587 kg and the technically permissible weight is 1025 kg. The payload stated in the characteristics is 600 kg. The maximum speed is 52 km/h.
The battery is fully charged in 6 hours from any 220V outlet and its composition (LiFePo4) is frost resistant, allowing the authors of the project to talk about the possibility of using the truck all year round. Passport kilometers on one charge is 200 kilometers. The battery life is up to 15 years.
The project’s official website states that the warranty for the car is 2 years with no mileage limitation. The company is ready to provide service and it is claimed that components are always in stock. There is also a trial trade rental. Among the listed advantages of the car are the absence of typical combustion engine and transmission problems, the ability to drive without traffic jams and free parking.
The price of a truck is from 1,250,000 rubles. Such cars are believed to take root in express delivery, freight carsharing, rental and as mobile outlets. By the way, in addition to a number of options for a van and a refrigerator, there is also a passenger option.
