From September 1, 2024, fines for non-payment of travel fees on toll roads in Moscow will increase. reports RIA Novosti, citing the head of the Moscow City Duma Commission on Legislation, Regulations, Rules and Procedures, editor of the draft resolution Alexander Semennikov.

“The amount of the fine will be as follows: for citizens – 3 thousand rubles, for legal entities – 10 thousand rubles,” Semennikov said.

According to him, there are two toll roads in Moscow – Bagration Boulevard and Moscow High-Speed ​​Diameter (MSD). But MSD remains free for metropolitan drivers. Both roads have free alternative routes.

Before that, the Moscow Ministry of Transport sent a letter rental services that propose to increase the fines for riding scooters together and handing over the steering wheel to children to 100 thousand rubles.

The reason for the letter was a video that went viral on the Internet of a Moscow couple riding an electric scooter along the Third Ring Road with a child behind them. According to the ministry, those who violated the rules were identified using cameras and license plates. They were fined and the case is under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
