It has been understood that a serious accident involving six vehicles on the Moscow Ring Road could have been prevented 16:36

The existence of a technological gap on the Moscow Ring Road, where a Mitsubishi Pajero crashed into oncoming traffic on August 9, is justified, but it is unclear why there is no trap there to reduce the impact. This was asked by Anton Shaparin, Deputy Chairman of the National Automobile Association (NAU), in a conversation with socialbites.ca correspondent.

According to him, special plastic tanks filled with water can be placed in the space between the fenders.

“There could be millions of technologies here and the car wouldn’t fly into the oncoming lane. I would run into this tank and that’s it! Yes, I would probably get hit from behind, but that’s not a fact,” Shaparin said.

The auto expert also noted the presence of ruts on the road, indicating that the Pajero’s soft suspension may not be able to handle high speeds.

“It is absolutely clear that there is a track on the Moscow Ring Road. It is visually clearly visible that a car with such a suspension flies into the oncoming lane,” the expert said.

Shaparin recalled that a similar accident happened to blogger Edward Beal, who lost control due to, among other things, “a terrible monotony.” According to an automotive expert, serious ruts form on the roads due to poor-quality road construction.

This morning, a Mitsubishi Pajero crashed west of the Moscow Ring Road near exit 54A. The SUV driver crossed multiple lanes, veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into several vehicles. The driver of one of the vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Japanese SUV itself overturned and began to smoke.
