The cost of the Russian Atom electric car will be between 2.9 million and 4 million rubles. In this respect reported General Director of TASS Kama developer company Igor Povarazdnyuk.
“The approximate price range, excluding state subsidies, is from 2.9 million to 4 million rubles. “We do not plan to go beyond this range,” he said.
Povarazdnyuk noted that Atom’s approach is close to the strategy of Zeekr in China, which produces cars with premium functions in the mass segment.
By the way, Telegram channel No Limits reminded meHe said that Povoroznyuk had previously said that the new product would cost 2.5-3.5 million rubles. This means that the price of the electric car instantly increases by 500 thousand rubles.
“We get the feeling that the company did not initially understand the final cost of production per unit of goods. This is what happened to many startups trying to make their own electric cars in Russia, from e-Mobile to Togliatti Zetta, which ended in a criminal case, the publication says.
The electric car will be comparable in size to the Lada Granta in the hatchback body: length 3995 mm, width – 1780 mm. Ground clearance is 170 mm, wheels from 17 to 19 inches are provided. The Atom will have a fully independent MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a multi-link independent suspension at the rear.
The vehicle will be rear-wheel drive only. The power plant will be able to produce 204 hp of power, and the 77 kilowatt battery will be able to travel up to 500 km without recharging. When charging at a powerful station, eight minutes will be enough to gain energy to travel 100 km.
