The Irbit motorcycle factory, which produces Ural motorcycles, will suspend production for six months in 2026 due to restructuring. In this respect reports 66.ru.
Denis Kuznetsov, general director of the Irbit Motor Plant representative office, told the publication that the company will have to install new equipment in the workshops.
“More stock is needed here, modern laser cutters are needed. We have one, but it is not enough. We need more,” Kuznetsov explained.
According to him, production cannot meet orders. Ural opened a dealership in China in 2023, where 200 motorcycles were delivered. Despite the sanctions, Ural dealers continue to operate in the USA, Austria and Japan. In 2022, Ural announced the transfer of part of production to Kazakhstan.
