Mercedes-Benz decided to stop further work on a new car that combines the design and functionality of a sedan and crossover. In this respect reports motor1.com. The car was supposed to be the first product of the new Sport Utility Sedan (SUS) class.
It is stated that the concept of the future model, called Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury, was presented in Germany in 2018. It was an electric car with a length of 5260 mm, a power of 738 horsepower, four-wheel drive and a battery with a capacity of 80 kWh. Mercedes-Benz claimed a range of more than 500 km. Maximum speed is limited to 250 km/h.
Work on the first model of the new class was stopped a few months ago because the car turned out to be too expensive and difficult to produce. Mercedes-Benz also stated that there are enough electric vehicles on the market to cover all major segments.
