“The new power unit has gone through a full cycle of laboratory and road tests, while the electronic engine and transmission control systems have been calibrated specifically for Lada Vesta,” says AvtoVAZ.
The new engine and automatic transmission (we are talking about a continuously variable shifter) are integrated into models of the Vesta family with all possible bodies. To do this, the manufacturer had to modernize the fuel and braking systems of the cars. The company has not yet disclosed information about the start date of sales, configurations and prices. However, it is stated that the first batch of two pedal cars with the new engine rolled off the assembly line of the enterprise in Tolyatti.
The company stopped production of Lada in automatic mode in 2022 after foreign suppliers refused to cooperate.
This year it became known that AvtoVAZ was again started to equip Lada Vesta cars with cruise control. This option will be installed on cars that are already in the basic version. The “Speed Control” function is required to automatically maintain a certain vehicle speed without the driver pressing the accelerator pedal.
