Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, said in an interview: RBCHe said that they will continue production of the Volga and Pobeda automobile brands in Russia.
“Colleagues have plans to revive the Volga or Pobeda brands, for example. Or both,” said the minister.
At the same time, Manturov did not specify the possible timing of the resumption of production.
Answering the question whether cars of these brands can be produced in Nizhny Novgorod, he said that the project can be implemented at different sites.
Previously, the production of Moskvich cars will begin until the end of this year. It also admitted that it could be a hybrid or electric version.
