Traffic police will conduct various raids on the weekend of October 7-8. Traffic inspectors will pay special attention to finding drivers who get behind the wheel while drunk. reported Regional departments of the State Traffic Inspectorate.
Mass raids and “full inspections” will be carried out in the Smolensk region, Ivanovo region, Kurgan region, Kostroma region, Ryazan region, Samara region, Kirov region, Altai Republic, Ivanovo region, Komi Republic and other regions.
Under “full checks”, traffic police stop all vehicles on a certain section of the road and assess the condition of each driver, paying particular attention to the presence of signs of intoxication.
The driver who drives under the influence of alcohol will face a fine of 30 thousand rubles, as well as deprivation of driver’s license for 1.5 to 2 years. The traffic police reminded that similar liability is provided in case of transfer of control of the car to a person in a drunken state and refusal of inspection.
