A Tyumen resident stole a BMW from a tow truck that had been parked for a long time 14:29

The suspect, an unemployed man born in 1986, was detained by police at a car service center where he brought a stolen car. The thief managed to open the driver’s door and hood, and replace the battery and plates.

“The man admitted what he had done and explained that as he walked past the car park for a long time, he watched a parked foreign car, which he thought was not driven by its owner. The police report noted that the attacker called a tow truck to steal the crossover, and the tow truck took the car to the service station.

The vehicle, worth 1.6 million rubles, will be seized and returned to its owner. A criminal case was initiated against the suspect for theft under part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It provides for a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
