DeLorean unveils the successor to the legendary coupe from the movie “Back to the Future”

American company DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) introduced the Alpha5 electric car, the successor to the legendary DMC-12 model known from the Back to the Future trilogy. Reported by Autoevolution.

The length of the new machine is 5000 mm, width – 2040 mm, height – 1370 mm. The model is built on a new electric platform created by ItalDesign in collaboration with the British company Williams Advanced Engineering.

The design was developed by Italian studio ItalDesign. The electric 2+2 DeLorean Alpha5 received gull-wing doors, narrow LED headlights and large wheels with low-profile tires.

All technical data of the electric car are still kept secret. The company said that only the DeLorean Alpha5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds. The maximum speed will be 250 km / h, and the cruising range is about 480 km.
