The Investigative Committee of Russia closed the criminal case against a traffic policeman who accidentally shot a young man in the Novosibirsk region who was resisting arrest. About informs department website.
“The criminal case against the traffic police officer, who chased the car in which Ruslan Kurbanov and Ilkin Ismailov were passengers in the Moshkovsky district of the Novosibirsk region, has now been terminated due to the absence of corpus delicti in his act, his actions are considered legal”, – says the message.
According to the case file, at the end of May last year, in the village of Moshkovo near Novosibirsk, inspectors of the traffic police organized the pursuit of a car that did not stop at their own request. The car was then stopped, but the youths sitting in the passenger compartment resisted arrest. During the fight, one of the cops accidentally shot the 19-year-old driver in the head. He later died. A police officer was charged with misconduct.
