Gang of hijackers who worked ‘on command’ arrested

Chelyabinsk attackers, as agents have determined, have received an order to steal cars recently bought by owners in Orenburg – with a mileage of only 10-15 kilometers. Fake numbers were made for these cars, then they were driven to Chelyabinsk and later sold to citizens of a neighboring state. What exactly is not specified, but apparently we are talking about Kazakhstan.

Proven facts of damage caused amounted to 8 million rubles. However, there is reason to believe that the attackers could be involved in similar crimes committed in the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan from 2019 to 2022, MVD.Media reports.

Investigators of the Orenburgskoye subsection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia have opened five criminal cases on the basis of a crime under Part Four of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which are currently combined in one procedure. Two suspects were arrested and two others were placed under house arrest.

The events were held with the participation of the National Guard. The investigation into the case continues.
