Rosstandart announces the approval of the BMW voluntary recall program. The service campaign includes 866 BMW X1 (F48 Series), X2 (F39 Series) vehicles produced between January and March 2022, with VIN codes according to the application.
The affected vehicles were fitted with front seat belts (driver’s side and passenger’s side) that may have sustained damage to the gas microgenerator during manufacture.
Failure of the microgenerator in an emergency situation may result in a loss of hold function.
On all vehicles, both front seat belts are checked and replaced if necessary.
Owners of recalled vehicles will be informed in a timely manner about the service campaign, but can determine for themselves whether their vehicle is eligible for a recall without waiting for a notification from an authorized dealer by comparing their vehicle’s VIN code with the attached list (file in the “documents” tab), or use the interactive search function on the department’s website.
All work in the context of the service promotion is performed free of charge for the owner.
