The vast majority of car owners in Russia have not bribed law enforcement on the roads for several years. Such results are contained in a study conducted by experts from the Russian National Automobile Association (NAS) together with the marketing agency FDF Group (available from socialbites.ca).
Therefore, during the study, experts asked drivers whether they have encountered signs of corruption on the roads in the past 2-3 years. 81% of the respondents answered this question negatively, 17% reported such events, and 2% of the respondents avoided answering.
“The situation regarding corruption on the roads has improved significantly in recent years, but more work needs to be done to address this problem. “The survey data proves that widespread corruption by law enforcement in the 1990s and early 2000s is a thing of the past.”
The largest number of respondents reporting road corruption by law enforcement agencies live in the Southern, Central and North Caucasus regions. And among age groups, these problems occur most often among young drivers (under 25).
Earlier, socialbites.ca reported that the survey revealed that 60% of car owners do not support the introduction of toll roads in Russia.
