The second half of 2023 will be quite busy for Skoda as the Czech automaker, which is part of the Volkswagen group, plans to release several updated and new models.
It is planned to update the Kamiq crossover and Scala compact hatchback. The electric crossover Enyaq gets a new top package from Laurin & Klement.
Elroq, Enyaq’s younger brother, will also make an appearance, as company chairman Klaus Zellmer revealed. But these are all forecasts “until 2025”.
But in the second half of 2023, Skoda will introduce a new generation of Superb and Kodiaq, which will have hybrid powertrains. It is worth noting that the Superb will no longer be produced in the Czech Republic – production will be moved to Bratislava, where it will be assembled at the same plant with the next generation VW Passat.
That is, the Skoda Kodiaq will still be equipped with gasoline engines, which means that it will be of interest to the Russian car market, where electric vehicles are still unpopular due to climatic conditions.
