Renault Logan and Sandero cars are the worst protected against theft – 246 points out of 1000, according to the 2021 All-Russian Union of Insurers presentation, which is available for Za Rulem.
The insurers compared 18 models of different price categories and classes and checked their protection against unauthorized access, engine start and movement, as well as against changing identification numbers and creating a duplicate key.
In the list of the most vulnerable models, in addition to Logan and Sandero, there are also Lada Granta (293 points) and Vesta (253 points). All models are budget, and Lada is one of the leaders in thefts in the traffic police statistics, but they are also the most sold, this should not be forgotten, the insurers emphasize.
The most protected in this classification, in addition to Lexus ES and Lexus RX, which scored 809 and 761 points, respectively, also became Skoda Octavia and Audi Q5 (760 and 746 points, respectively).

The VSS predicts an exacerbation of the shortage of spare parts for auto repairs in the near future due to supply problems and, as a result, an increase in theft “under parsing” for spare parts. Over time, new logistics chains will be repaired or built, but so far the situation with automotive components remains tense.
