Gang Jiayue, CEO of Geely Automobile Group, announced at the internal annual business conference in Hangzhou that the Geely brand will officially release the “Geely Brand New Energy” strategy at the end of this month.
The strategy will affect mid-range and premium cars. The company promises “the first intelligent electrical product”. But what it will be is not specified.
Geely Automobile Group’s new strategy should lead to a 30% increase in sales of the brands that are part of the group.
So far, it is only known that the group will release many new cars in the next three years. Among them will be not only “intelligent” electric vehicles, but also cars with hybrid power plants.
Meanwhile, carmakers in Europe have begun campaigning for the abolition of Euro 7, pointing out that the new standard will cause the European car industry to lose China.
