If the pedal fails – do not panic, but push on. If one brake circuit fails, the other will work, although not as efficiently.
Brake the engine. Coast in gears, to the lowest.
The parking brake can also help. The most convenient classic, with a lever. This allows you to smoothly dose the delay. If it is made in the pedal format, it is already more difficult. And about the electromechanical it is better to read in advance in the instructions. But in an emergency, you can still use it.
Look for emergency brake lanes. When the shoulder is wide, pull towards it.
An extreme case is braking against a snowdrift, bushes, fences or someone else’s car.
Do not attempt to engage reverse gear or “park” while on the move. Just break the box.
