The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced that it was discussing the situation with AvtoVAZ and other enterprises of the automotive industry regarding the supply of paints for cars and stated that the interruptions are temporary. “At the moment, various scenarios are being worked on within the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with JSC AvtoVAZ and industrial enterprises. The Ministry of Industry and Trade told the agency that the situation will stabilize in the near future.
The ministry also noted that the absence of some paint materials did not affect the planned production volumes of the cars.
AvtoVAZ has a shortage of paint for cars of various colors, Wrote newspaper “Vedomosti”. According to him, Lada cars are currently sold in dealerships in two or three colors – mostly white, black and dark green. Cars in other hues are expected not to arrive before March.
