The driver of a semi-trailer truck drove from Nizhny Novgorod towards Vladimir. A moose jumped into the road in front of him. The truck driver was unable to avoid the collision and the animal was thrown under the wheels of other vehicles.
The driver did not post a sign for the crashed carcass (violation pp 2.5, 7.2 traffic rules of the Russian Federation). He just pulled over to the side of the road and turned on the hazard lights. Here the driver lost his freedom.
A car was traveling in the same direction, collided with a moose and skidded uncontrollably. This caused the car to collide with a trailer. Her driver was killed.
Now the truck driver, who pleaded not guilty, will spend 1.5 years in a colony settlement for violating traffic rules, which through negligence caused the death of a person (part 3 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ). He must also pay 600,000 rubles to the widow of the deceased and 500,000 rubles to the son of the deceased.
