A car assembled in 2022 loses a year when it is sold in 2023, which means that when sold it also loses value because of this year, in which you didn’t even drive, explains car expert Dmitry Slavnov.
In the future, this may affect the cost of the car when it is sold if the owner cannot convince the buyer that the car is older only according to the document.
The expert noted that scammers are actively taking advantage of this, exhibiting cars at good discounts, below the dealer price, convincing that this is a car from the previous year. Thus, they lure customers to unofficial stores, and there they already promote them for a more expensive purchase.
Bargaining is appropriate
When buying, you can lower the price of a car by negotiating even with an official car dealer. To do this, you need to come up with a thickness gauge. Even on a new car, the paintwork can be damaged: small scratches form during transportation, chips of stones flying out from under the wheels. The car is then brought into a “presentation” at the dealer.
It’s okay, but if the car is tinted, the thickness gauge will determine this and the buyer will have a reason to bargain.
