Togliatti State University (TSU) and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) plan to join forces to create a sergeant electroframe modular electric vehicle with a fully welded aluminum frame.
Together with AvtoVAZ they want to adapt the frame to the Niva car kit.
Speaking of Niva and AvtoVAZ, the Bora SUV, developed at the Volga Automobile Plant in the 1990s, is easy to guess from the photo published by the source. The logical continuation of Bora was exactly the Sergeant project, but the cars did not go into the series. Now they decided to revive the idea, taking into account new trends.
Electro sergeant is planned to be equipped with a 2.35 kW battery.h, developed at SPbPU. SPbPU has also developed a station with a buffer battery – you can quickly charge an electric car even with insufficient electrical power. TSU, on the other hand, will take over the organization of the trial production of a fully welded aluminum frame and the stocks for its manufacture.
Together they want to bring the project to a running model and in the future to real production.
