Following the Chinese car industry, Iranian car manufacturers, in particular Kerman Motors (KMC), also turned their attention to the Russian consumer.
But given their unfamiliarity with the car market and very mediocre characteristics, only an adequate price will help them find a buyer in Russia, Sergey Burgazliev, an independent consultant to the automotive industry, argued.
“For example, in order for the J7 model to sell well on the market, its price should be 750 thousand rubles. up to 1 million rubles. For the K7 mid-sized crossover and T8 pickup to be competitive, they must fit into the budget of 2 million for the basic version and 2.7 million for the car in the top configuration with many options,” – said the expert.
He also added that it is likely that the Iranian brand will not take root in the new market. To create demand for such cars, representation, skilled managers and market research are needed, Burgazliev concluded.
