The production of the renewed Vesta in Togliatti (instead of Izhevsk) is gradually becoming a reality. As “Behind the wheel” wrote earlier, in October the first samples were assembled on the Togliatti conveyor, and in November AVTOVAZ officially confirmed the start of test assembly. Until now, test machines have been sent for laboratory testing or left in production for staff training.
Now a new category of pre-production machines has been added: the source reports that some of the manufactured machines will be sent to the factory divisions for operational testing.
The practice of official cars from the category of promising models existed at the factory before the arrival of the Renault group: employees drive pre-production cars, fill out a logbook, the data of which is then used to refine the design and correct assembly errors .
Serial assembly in Tolyatti should begin in the spring of 2023, but for now dealers sell the remains of Izhevsk cars.
