Chery has begun testing a new crossover, codenamed T1EJ. It is made on the same platform as Tiggo 7 PLUS. It is also known that the car will eventually be called OMODA 8.
The novelty has a rectangular chrome grille with a logo in the center. Also visible are the narrow headlights and fog lights below, and there appears to be an LED strip along the edge of the bonnet.
Another image shows a panoramic roof, part of which can move, revealing a large expanse of sky above the passengers’ heads. The rear of the car is stylistically reminiscent of a Land Rover.
The salon, like the exterior, turned out to be “square”. You can see the head-up display HUD and large monitors of the instrument panel and multimedia system.
Since the new car is built on the same platform as the Tiggo 7 PLUS, it will be equipped with 1.5T and 1.6T petrol engines. Hybrid power plants are not excluded.
On sale, including in Russia, it will appear in 2023.
