The maximum penalty for drivers who shook the silence of the night with the roar of engines was set at 30 thousand rubles.
As Alexey Shaposhnikov, Chairman of the State Duma of the City of Moscow, explained, the Moscow law was passed at first reading, but for final adoption it is necessary to amend the Federal Code of Administrative Offenses.
After that, the document can be submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation for consideration, and then all citizens of the Federation can establish administrative responsibility in the form of fines for breaking the silence by vehicles.
It is proposed to “catch” disturbers with the help of “sound meters” – special cameras that work in automatic mode and are equipped with means to measure the level of noise.
In the traffic flow, using directional microphones, they can identify vehicles that are the sound source, then identify and hold the driver accountable.
