At the Kerch ferry crossing, a line of 55 trucks formed in the queue, originating from the Krasnodar Territory. This update comes from the press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration.
As of February 1, the parking area in Ilyich village held 55 vehicles waiting to cross. The majority of these were trucks carrying food supplies and other essential goods, according to the briefing.
Volunteers have been deployed to the site. A warming station for drivers has been set up near the car park, and a canteen is operating to provide hot meals, ensuring sustenance for those waiting in line.
Since October 2022, the Kerch ferry crossing has carried a substantial flow of travelers and goods. In total, the operation has transported 58.3 thousand cars, 6.4 thousand wagons, and 76.8 thousand passengers in both directions. Temporary restrictions were announced in the Krasnodar Territory, with priority given to vehicles carrying essential cargo, including food, to cross by ferry toward Crimea.
On December 5, reports indicated that traffic resumed following repair work on the right side of the automobile section of the Crimean bridge, damaged by the October explosion. On the same day, President Vladimir Putin himself crossed the bridge, signaling a return toward normal operations for many travelers and freight movements.
