But as soon as the road infrastructure causes even the slightest disturbance, everyone notices it immediately.

Road workers today build roads, intersections, bridges, viaducts, crosswalks. They apply road markings, install road signs, traffic lights, repair damage and generally keep infrastructure in a safe condition.

Men’s Workers’ Day was instituted by Boris Yeltsin, and by Vladimir Putin’s decree of March 23, 2000, workers began to be honored on the third Sunday of the month. This year, Road Workers’ Day falls on October 16.

In recent years, the road sector, as well as other industries, has been actively digitized. Intelligent transportation systems are introduced and developed, weather and road conditions are monitored online on highways, intelligent systems control traffic flows and intensity and use them to quickly take action to treat the road surface and inform drivers.

But no matter how much “smart systems” help us today and make our lives easier, without a person, his control over the process, they still wouldn’t be able to work alone.

Today Za Rulem congratulates builders, engineers, designers, repair and maintenance personnel, as well as employees of companies producing materials for road construction – all those who build and guard roads today, making them smooth and safe.

Happy holidays, friends!
