AVTOVAZ continues to transfer the production of Vesta from Izhevsk to Togliatti – we remember that this was done because of the higher productivity of the Togliatti conveyor. As the press service of the auto giant reported on October 13, the first three bodies of the Lada Vesta have already been welded at AvtoVAZ’s Togliatti site. This is part of the commissioning process, which will last until the start of mass production.

It is known that the first three welded bodies were examined by the president of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov and heads of factory departments. Sokolov expressed his gratitude to the project team and all employees involved in the process.

The company emphasizes that when transferring technologies from Izhevsk to Togliatti, a high level of quality and safety of the car is maintained, and the transfer process itself proceeds in accordance with the approved technological scheme.

As for the schedule, the AVTOVAZ press service reports that the start of series production of Vesta in Togliatti is planned for the first half of 2023. The Viber channel “At the Factory”, which deals with the welding of the first bodies, writes that mass production should start in the second quarter of 2023. Earlier, Maxim Sokolov indicated in an interview with Za Rulem that Vesta would be produced in Tolyatti in March 2023.

  • Meanwhile, pre-styling Vesta goes down in history, one of the adjustments has already disappeared from the official website.
  • “Behind the Wheel” can be seen on RuTube.
