According to Avtostat, 67.2% of new cars were imported from China in August.
Next on the list:
- South Korea (share – 8.7%)
- Kazakhstan (3.9%)
- UAE (3.7%)
- Japan (3.6%).
Also in August, 23.3 thousand used cars were imported. Their main supplier is Japan, in August 76% of the total volume was imported from this country.
Used cars are brought from Belarus – 5.3%, Armenia (4.9%), Germany (4.7%), South Korea (3.6%) and other countries.
Basically, legal entities are engaged in the transportation of new cars, but the share of individuals is growing steadily: if it was 3% in January, it reached 23% in August.
Used cars from abroad are mainly driven by private individuals – in January they imported 96%, in August – 99%. At the same time, the number of used cars imported has almost doubled since the beginning of the year.
