A possible production cut for 2023 from 500,000 vehicles to more than 400,000 is now being discussed at AVTOVAZ, the Atypical AvtoVAZ VKontakte public has informed. A possible decrease is estimated at less than 15%. Such a decision will (possibly!) have to be made due to the unwillingness of suppliers to provide the previously announced release program.

Should the production volume nevertheless decrease, AvtoVAZ’s work schedule will have to be adjusted next year. The plant returns to the usual five-day period. Now there is a six-day regime – Monday through Saturday providing workers with a sliding day in the middle of the week.

The schedule of a uniform company vacation at AVTOVAZ in 2023 will also be adjusted – they will have three summer weeks of general vacation for all factory workers, dividing the remaining seven days between the May holidays and before the New Year’s holidays.

The announced recruitment of new employees is also being examined. Previously, it was planned to increase the workforce in Togliatti by 4,000 people by 2023.
