Due to the increased cost of constructing the M-12 highway, traveling on an already open stretch could increase in price, Kommersant reports, citing data from state-owned Avtodor. It is reported that the cost of a kilometer of traffic on this toll road could increase from the current three rubles to eight.
Such a development of events was supposed as early as March – even then everything was going to be that the proposal of the Ministry of Transport to increase the rates (only from 3 to 8 rubles per kilometer) would be accepted.
Recall that the first section of the new Moscow-Kazan toll road was put in place at the beginning of September. M-12 runs parallel to the existing Gorky highway (M-7 highway) to Vladimir. The new route continues south to Murom, Arzamas and Kanash. If the new rate is actually adopted, then the road from Moscow to Kazan along the M-12 will cost 6,400 rubles.
- In addition, the rate on the central ring road of the capital, as well as on M-1 “Belarus”, M-4 “Don” and M-3 “Ukraine” will increase.
