The Ministry of Transport plans to increase the rates on toll roads: the maximum price per 1 km for passenger cars will be increased from the current 3 rubles. to 5-8 rubles, writes Kommersant.
This is not a spontaneous decision, it was planned a year ago and after completion a new version of the draft government decision with rates for national highway tolls was published for discussion. This is prompted by the fact that the construction costs, the purchase of traffic management equipment and various equipment are increasing and the current rates have been calculated in the reality of 2015. It is also possible that the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management is not only investing in this project the accumulated inflation. , but also the future ones, so as not to touch the rates for a few years afterwards.
On state highways, where the tariff was introduced after their reconstruction (for example, M-1 “Belarus”, M-4 “Don”, M-3 “Ukraine”), the maximum rate is increased from the current 3 rubles. up to 5 rubs. for 1km. If the route is completely rebuilt (for example, the central ring road or M-12 Moscow – Kazan), the maximum fare increases from 3 rubles. up to 8 rubles. A similar rate indexation is planned for buses and trucks.
In particular, the M-12 highway has already increased in price by 30% – up to 800 billion rubles, and the authorities want to extend it to Vladivostok. New routes from the Urals to the Black Sea are also being designed.
The new rates do not apply to facilities built under concessions closed before 2013, ie toll sections of M-11 Neva 15-58th km and the northern bypass of Odintsovo, as well as the western high-speed diameter in St. Petersburg, toll sections in the Pskov region, a toll bridge over the Kama and Bui rivers in Udmurtia and other roads that have no federal significance.
