The Lada Vesta family, experiencing its rebirth in the Vesta NG and moving from Izhevsk to Tolyatti, seems to have lost one of the adaptations. All data on the Vesta Cross sedan has disappeared from the manufacturer’s official website, Lada.Online reports.
Is the disappearance due to the fact that the assembly of this modification is not scheduled to resume?
The source indicates that the press service commented on the situation as follows: all current configurations are on the website, you need to navigate according to this list. Of course, such an answer does not ultimately clarify the fate of the cross sedan, but it makes it clear that Vesta Cross is no longer relevant.
Vesta Cross sedans were made in Izhevsk on April 25, 2018, and the start of sales was announced on June 7.
Recall that cross sedans are distinguished by increased ground clearance up to 203 mm, bumpers of special design (such as SW Cross station wagons), black lining on the arches and 17-inch wheels. Now there is no such version on the AVTOVAZ website: the Vesta family has a regular sedan, a dual-fuel CNG sedan, a Sport sedan, as well as an SW station wagon and an elevated SW Cross station wagon.
It’s probably a fact that dealers have sold out most stocks of cross-sedans, which were already quite a niche version. So it makes little sense to keep information on the official website. Whether the cross-sedan will be revived in the renewed Vesta NG family depends on many factors, which almost no one can calculate now.
- Maxim Sokolov said in an interview with Za Rulem that Vesta NG “completely corresponds to the new generation Vesta that we presented in February.”
