Since October 3, the bodies of the Lada Granta family began to be painted with a new damask steel enamel (factory index 619), several independent sources report. “Atypical AVTOVAZ”, on the beginning of the coloring, notes that this shade was originally developed for the updated Vesta, also known as Vesta NG. It is worth recalling that the production of these machines is now being transferred from Izhevsk to Tolyatti.
Apparently, it was this circumstance that made it possible to update the color range for the younger Lada Granta family, which is produced at the car giant’s Togliatti site. According to Avtograd News, all supplies of paints and varnishes have already been delivered from the Izhevsk Automobile Plant to the main site in Togliatti.
This is what “bulat” looks like on Vesta NG. In Izhevsk in early 2022 they managed to assemble only about 800 cars, also in this color
Western paints will be used for models now produced in Togliatti, especially for the Niva and Granta families. It is worth recalling that the latter had previously acquired a new shade, known from Vesta in the pre-reform version – this is a metallic red “carnelian”.
And in the near future, according to unofficial data, several more such new things will be added: a bright blue metallic “dive” (476), a black metallic “maestro” (653), a silver metallic “platinum” (691) and white acrylic “glacial” (221). Now Granta has very similar colors – of course there will be changes in the palette.
- As for the Vesta, its production in Tolyatti should start in March 2023, but the version with a machine gun will appear later.
