Najafi Manesh, chairman of the board of the Association for the Production of Parts of Iran, announced a willingness to establish a joint venture with Russia.
But it is not just about the production of spare parts. Iran is willing to cooperate with Russian companies in several areas.
“The first is the export of auto parts needed for the Russian Federation, the second is the import of auto parts we need from Russia, such as car engines, car brake parts, and the third, most important, is the production of joint cars,” Manesha quotes RIA Novosti as saying.
Iranian car manufacturers are showing great interest in the Russian market.
Iran Khodro and SAIPA, for example, plan to sell their cars in Russia. There are interesting cars in the company’s lineup. For example, some are equipped with indestructible engines with cast iron blocks, and there are even models with 8-valve turbo engines.
The Iran Khodro Tara car is about to get vehicle type approval and will be the first Iranian car that will give our drivers an idea of the Iranian car industry as a source of simple and cheap foreign cars.
Of course, initially they will be more expensive than in Iran, but after the JV appears, their price will have to fall.
