In the Lipetsk region, electric vehicles of the new Russian brand Evolute (Evolute) were launched in mass production. The first to go into production was the i-Pro electric sedan, also known as the Dongfeng Aeolus E70. By the end of this year, the i-Joy crossover (the essence of the Fengon E3 EV, a joint product of Dongfeng and Sokon) and the i-Van minivan, also known as the Dongfeng Forthing Lingzhi M5, should be added to the lineup. .
Motorinvest’s plant is capable of producing up to 100,000 electric vehicles per year and plans to assemble around 2,000 vehicles by the end of this year. The assembly will be carried out under a special investment contract (SPIC) between Motorinvest, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Lipetsk region. According to this SPIC, 13 billion rubles will be invested in the production of electric vehicles over the next 11 years.
In addition to assembly, welding and painting of bodies will be carried out at the Motorinvest factory, but these workshops will not start operating until next year. Until now, only the assembly line, which employs 150 people and ensures the departure of a new car every 8 minutes, writes the website of the government of the Lipetsk region. The video “Vesti-Lipetsk” shows the assembled bodies of sedans – apparently they are part of the car kits supplied from China.
Evolute electric cars are included in the program of preferential car loans by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, there is an increased discount for the purchase – 35% of the cost (but not more than 925,000 rubles).
The i-Pro electric sedan with a total length of 4680 mm (slightly longer than the Skoda Octavia), a 150 hp electric motor and a power reserve of 420 km (according to the outdated NEDC cycle) will be available to order from October at a price of 2,990,000 rubles excluding discounts. Evolute dealers are initially in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Sochi.
