Following the lead of Toyota and Mazda, the Japanese car group Isuzu, which has production facilities in Ulyanovsk, is considering the possibility of ending the production of cars in the Russian Federation, Finmarket reports citing the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri.
It is impossible to supply components at the capacity of his car plant in Ulyanovsk (JSC Isuzu Rus), so he stopped the production of cars in the spring of this year and has not resumed work since.
Operating in Russia since 2006, Isuzu produces chassis in Ulyanovsk with a gross weight of 3.5 to 33 tons, as well as D-Max pickups. The company has about 100 dealers in the Russian Federation, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Isuzu Motors also has a joint venture in Russia with PJSC “Sollers Auto” – LLC “Isuzu Sollers”, which produces highly localized medium duty trucks.
