In the current situation, both official and non-official car services are looking for and finding a way out. The supply of spare parts for budget models is not bad, they are accomplished through parallel imports as well as through official channels, said experts and representatives of dealers interviewed by the Prime agency.

Supplies of spare parts for premium brands are also made, although there may be issues with some numbered spare parts but they will be resolved.

In general, there are no problems with car repairs, even from “unfriendly” countries – the only question is the price and delivery time of spare parts.

Dealers managed to set up logistics chains: original parts go through Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the supply of auto parts has increased in recent months and it can be cautiously assumed that their prices will gradually fall.

Problems with components for engines and gearboxes remain; bodies and suspension elements can be received on pre-order within two months.

In terms of costs, due to difficult routes and longer lead times, prices have increased by an average of 30% and parts of brands that have suspended deliveries to Russia have increased in price by 90%.

Therefore, owners often try to sell a used car of those very “unfriendly” brands, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so at the desired price. The discount can be as much as 10-25%, and if the money is urgently needed, sellers should make a discount of 30-40%, experts say.
