In 2023-2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will spend huge sums to support the demand for domestic cars, said Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
In 2023, 9.8 billion rubles will be allocated for preferential car loans and leasing. In 2024, the amount will increase by almost 1.7 times and reach 17 billion rubles. In 2025, even more funds will be allocated – 19 billion rubles.
According to the minister, all these expenditures have already been recorded in the draft budget for 2023.
“So we plan to boost the sale of about 190 thousand additional cars,” Denis Manturov told Izvestia.
It should be noted that in 2022 20.7 billion rubles were allocated for soft loans and leasing programs, which will be enough to subsidize the purchase of about 75 thousand cars. For example, funding for state programs will initially be cut by more than half, but will later return to current levels.
