The Chinese company Dongfeng is represented in Russia by the DFM 580 seven-seat crossover and the recently launched DF6 pickup (it is not yet available on the official website), but the main bet in Russia lately is not up. these models. As you know, the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region plans to assemble three Dongfeng models under the new Russian Evolute brand: the i-Joy compact crossover, the i-Jet cross coupe and the i-Pro sedan.

Recently, a full-size crossover Voyah Free was shown in Moscow. Dongfeng presented this model in China in 2020, and not later, as in March 2022, the silhouette flashed on one of the teasers at the presentation of the Russian brand Evolute. Which immediately made it possible to assume that Voyah Free would be chosen as one of the models for the “re-turning”.
Voyah Free is a classmate of the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7. The base version is fully electric, with two electric motors delivering a total of 680 hp. and 1000Nm. Acceleration to 100 km / h – 4.8 s, maximum speed – 200 km / h, mileage on a single charge – 500 km.
The second option is a rechargeable sequential hybrid: the same electric motors plus a 1.5-liter turbo-four with 105 hp, not connected to the wheels, just charging the battery; cruising range – 860 km.
Salon – five-seater, richly equipped and not without a twist: a solid long display running through the entire front panel can effectively “tend”.
Dongfeng is positioned in Russia by relatively cheap models with combustion engines, nothing is known about the plans for the arrival of the luxury sub-brand Voyah in Russia …
Can Voyah Free, already under a new name, complement the line of the Russian brand Evolute? It is likely that the appearance of a crossover on the streets of the capital is precisely related to this, but first it is necessary that much more budget i-Joy, i-Jet and i-Pro take root in Russia.
