At the MIMS-2022 exhibition held in August, the Iranian company Iran Khodro announced another attempt to enter the Russian market and showed the Tara model, a car in which the converted Peugeot 301, by the way, is easily recognizable – especially since now the Iranians talk not only about the import of cars, but also about the possible localization of components in the Russian Federation.
The whole question is how much this model will cost in Russia. Of course, there is no official information about this yet, but the video of the Automotive Russia Youtube channel, where the prices of Iran Khodro Tara are announced in their home country, in Iran, could become the starting point for forecasts.
Do not be confused by the presence in the plot of other models of the brand – Dena + and Runna +: the video was prepared on the basis of the video material from last year’s presentation, where these cars also stood. Their prices can be taken into account for reference, but the main focus is on Tara, as it has the greatest chance of taking root in Russia, as the representatives of the brand showed it at MIMS this year.
Note that the model is equipped with a non-alternative aspirated 1.6 with an efficiency of 113 hp, and in terms of transmission you can choose between a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission (this is Japanese Aisin, but the assembly is licensed in China) .
Referring to the data from the Iranian site Car.ir, the source writes that the version with mechanics costs 430 million Iranian reais, that is, a little more than 610 thousand rubles. Versions with a pistol are more expensive, not only because of the automatic transmission itself, but also because of the richer equipment: 576 million Iranian reais, that is, about 820 thousand rubles.
