Late at night in Serpukhov, the crew of the Roadside Assistance Service of the State Road Safety Inspectorate, who was following the route, noticed a lonely girl standing behind the railings on the bridge over the Nara River.
Realizing that her actions could lead to tragedy, the inspectors stopped, got out of the car and entered into a confidential conversation. The girl was in a state of hysteria, police lieutenant Maxim Chursimov managed to find out that she had previously quarreled with her boyfriend. While distracting her with a conversation, his colleague reported the incident to the traffic police on duty.
Even before the arrival of the ambulance and rescue workers, the inspector managed to establish emotional communication, dissuade the girl from a rash step and calm her down. The police stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. Video of the incident can be viewed on YouTube (age restrictions are in place).
She was then handed over to medical workers for further psychological help.
