State Duma deputy Ivan Sukharev proposed to introduce a 50% discount on toll roads during the New Year holidays. With such a proposal, he turned to the head of the Ministry of Transport, Vitaly Savelyev, a copy of the letter is at the disposal of RT.
New Year’s holidays, lasting more than a week, are actively used by citizens to travel by personal transport to visit relatives and travel to other regions.
But mostly people use free roads for this as paid roads are quite expensive for many. With a discount for this period, most car travelers can travel on toll roads, which are better equipped for safety in winter.
Previously, families with many children were also offered an exemption from paying toll roads.
