The police were informed about an accident in which a VAZ-210740 car overturned in the village of Kalinovka, Omsk region. The traffic cops went to the scene and found that a 34-year-old drunk man was driving the car, despite having been stripped of all his rights.
During the registration of an accident, he stole a company car, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the regional traffic police.
In the North 25th Street area, after losing control of the vehicle, the offender collided with a light pole, after which he, after driving a few more meters, took to the road and attempted to steal a passing car. The police caught up with the thief.
An administrative case has been opened against the man for driving on the side of the road, entering the oncoming lane and driving without a license, as well as a criminal case for theft. He refused to undergo a medical examination, therefore administrative material was also prepared against him under Article 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Russia.
A total of 23 administrative documents were filed against the driver for violating traffic rules.
