That is 60% more than at the beginning of 2022. The weighted average price of cars under 7 years old today is almost 2.3 million rubles.
Some experts attribute the increase in the average price to the fact that cheap cars are actively being bought up on the market. Their removal from sale affects the image as a whole. So we are not talking about price increases, but about a change in the supply in the market.
Sergey Udalov of Avtostat, according to Izvestia, believes that car owners began to “withhold” cars because it is problematic to buy a replacement car – the reason for this is the lack of new offers on the market.
